Owner Sharon Schenck began her career in London 47 years ago working for two of the most renowned rug scholars in the world.

For 25 years, she was based in the southwest with rug stores in Santa Fe and Scottsdale. After the death of her close friend, Jacqueline Vance, Sharon came to New Orleans 19 years ago to help with the estate. She fell in love with the city and created NOLA Rugs, now one of the most respected stores throughout the South. Sharon’s expertise and commitment to offering quality rugs, all hand selected and directly imported, remains unparalleled. Serving design professionals and individuals, it is one of the premier stores in the entire country.
